Growing Pains
Growing Pains is commissioned by Postane Istanbul, a cultural space belonging to The Center for Spatial Justice . To produce this wall sculpture, I used Scagliola, a 18th century plaster technique that allows obtaining marble-like surfaces consisting of plaster, pigment, and animal glue. I added some plants and weeds from Postane Istanbul’s terrace garden to the scagliola mortar. Consequently, different temporalities and materialities.
