Ekin Kano (b. 1990) is a visual artist based between Istanbul and Berlin. She earned an MA in Visual Arts from Sabancı University and completed her BA at the Faculty of Art and Design at Yıldız Technical University. During her undergraduate studies, she also studied in the Fine Arts department of the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague.

Kano explores the blurred boundaries between human and non-human bodies, questioning concepts of fluidity and materiality. Her first solo exhibition, My Ribs Heave, Variations on Being, was presented in 2019 at Saint Joseph Caporal House as a parallel event to the 16th Istanbul Biennial. Her second solo show, Damp Earth, was exhibited at Öktem Aykut Gallery in 2020. In 2022, Otomy, a book she co-authored, won the Volumes Zurich Book Award. Kano held her third solo exhibition, Between Rock and A Hard Place at ArtOn Istanbul. She is a member of Hara Istanbul’s artistic board. She is represented by ArtOn Istanbul.
